Four NCAA Players Selected to Canada World Junior Camp

Four U.S. college players are among the 31 selected to attend Team Canada’s Selection Camp for the 2020 World Junior tournament.

This year’s tournament takes place Dec. 26, 2019 to Jan. 5, 2020 in Ostrava and Trinec, Czech Republic.

The four players are Boston College freshman forward Alex Newhook, Wisconsin freshman forward Dylan Holloway, North Dakota sophomore defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker and Quinnipiac sophomore defenseman Peter Deliberatore

The team will eventually be narrowed down to 23 for the tournament. The selection camp will take plaec Dec. 11-12 in Oakville, Ontario.

Bernard-Docker and Newhook are first-round NHL Draft picks, in 2018 by Ottawa, and 2019 by Colorado, respectively. Holloway is considered a candidate to be taken in the first round of the 2020 Draft. Deliberatore was a sixth-round selection by Vegas in 2018.

The U.S. and Canada play on the tournament’s first day, Dec. 26, at 1 p.m. ET.
